Email customer account statements

A new feature was added back in AX 2012 which became part of D365 FO that allows a user to send emails to customers by using address and contact information purpose.

For example, Documents can be sent automatically to all customers that have the designed purpose set on the account; Scenario – User would like to send email account statement to customers by an email purpose.

 

Navigate to ‘address and contact information purpose’ under Organization administration > Global address book and create a new record with purpose as ‘Email’,

Navigate to form setup under accounts receivable > setup > Forms as below, 

Click on the print management button on the general tab,

Expand the customer account statement and click on the destination “>” button and choose “Printer setup” to open the print destination settings,

On the print destination settings form, select ‘Email’, and add text for the subject line. This text will be used when the email is created. Then click on the ‘Edit’ button for the “To:” address field,

Set the ‘customer purpose’ field to the purpose you will designate when sending the statements

Click OK in the print destination settings form to save the setup.

Setup the customer information, navigate to all customer account under all customers, edit customer(s) record and set correct account statement option,

In the contact information tab, select the ‘more options’ button and close ‘advanced’,

In order to process the report\ statement navigate to accounts receivable > Enquiries and reports > customers > customer account statement,

When generating the report\ statement, make sure to the select ‘Use print management’ checkbox and click Ok.

The report is generated and is added as an attachment to the email.

This is great but where do I add the body for the email, I have setup an email template but where can I apply this to the standard Statement?

hi, i want to get the 'To Date' field in customer account statement form, and call it inside subject email. how can it be done? if its customization, can show me how?
